English Translations

If you are seeking accuracy, professionalism and technical expertise, translations supplied and stamped by a licensed translator, localisation services (adapting the content of the translation to meet the linguistic, cultural and technical requirements of a specific target market) or editing of English texts, you have come to the right place. We use SDL Trados.

Cost

Standard Translations
Cost of standard translation and text editing is charged per a source word of the original text, so the client can calculate the final price of work in advance.

Certified Translations
Cost of certified translation is charged pursuant to the Decree of the Slovak republic Ministry of Justice No. 491/2004 Coll. on remuneration, reimbursement of costs and time of experts, interpreters and translators.
One (1) NP of translation (each new page is counted)	from € 17.-
Urgent terms	by agreement

NP (normal page) = 30 lines with 60 characters in a line including spaces - in total 1800 characters in a page. The minimum of one NP is charged per translation.

English Interpreting

We provide the following types of interpreting from/to English:

• Consecutive interpreting - where the interpreter starts speaking after the speaker has finished. This method of interpreting is used for business meetings, diplomatic visits or telephone conversations.
• Simultaneous interpreting - where the interpreter speaks at the same time as the speaker. This method of interpreting is often used in situations such as presentations, video conferences or international conferences. Its cost is increased because of the specialist equipment required for simultaneous interpreting. Simultaneous interpreting is quite demanding and therefore two interpreters are required for each interpretation.
• Certified interpreting – interpreting by the licensed interpreter listed in the register of experts, interpreters and translators of the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak republic entitled to interpret for courts and other public authorities.

Cost

We will send you a quotation for any of the above services based on your requirements, type of interpreting, length of time and place. We offer discounts for long-term interpreting engagements.
